Do What You Love, The Money Will Follow: Discovering Your Right Livelihood (Marsha Sinetar)
This book was recommended to me by a therapist. The title puts it simplistically, and I do believe there is more to career consideration than how fun it is, especially depending on the economy, country, and other factors. I think this book is more nuanced, in fact, than the title suggests. The author doesn’t suggest leaving a secure day job to go pursue “a passion” immediately. Instead, it’s a suggestion that we can gradually and securely move in the direction of more satisfying work over time and be paid for it to some extent. This book may be motivating for those of us who grew up with limiting beliefs that paid work can’t be fun and fun work can’t pay well enough.
